Choir help celebrate WI Centenary – 18 May 2018
Our Choir were honoured to be invited along with Kennington Academy choir to sing, as part of a ceremony to mark the WI centenary year.
Lyn Stubbings the National Chair Of the WI unveiled a sundial in the front garden of the Hall . This was followed with a tea party for all visitors and a slideshow of events the WI have been part of. A huge thank you goes to Miss Anderson and Mrs Troman who lead the choir and all children who sang beautifully and were a credit to the school.
Choir visit the Grange- December 2017
The choir visited the residential home ‘The Grange’ this week where they entertained many elderly people with a range of Christmas songs.
They were amazing and sang beautifully and were a real credit to the school.
The choir are led by Miss Anderson and Mrs Troman.
The Choir meet every week and have only had a few rehearsals.
The staff and elderly people were very grateful.
Children In Need
On Friday 17th Nov we all dressed up in spots/colourful clothes or Pudsey clothes to raise money for Children in Need. We raised £273.
Macmillan Cake Sale
We held a Macmillan cake sale for parents and children to raise money for Macmillan.
Children brought in a donation in replacement for them wearing their own clothes. We had a coffee morning for adults and pre-school children and an after school cake sale for the children.
It was a huge success, raising £413.04 for the charity.
